  7. Export 3.2
  8.  
  9. Export 3.2 was designed to solve various Technical problems and general
  10. slowness of Tabby and previous export routines.  It was designed as: 
  11. 1) a high volume Export utility and 2) to solved some of the problems of
  12. getting UseNet Messages, formatted and ready for delivery.  Many new
  13. options have been added, most at the request of various sysops who
  14. had unique needs, not common to all.

  16. Export 3.2 is now available to all, Not all options have to be used, 
  17. just turn them off if you have no use from them.  Even with everything 
  18. turned off export will scan your message for exports in 1 or less 
  19. seconds.  Add about 1/4 sec for each message exported.  Overall at this 
  20. point in time you will not find a faster or more flexible export utility 
  21. for HOST/TABBY. Double Click on Export 3.2 and hold down the mouse KEY.  
  22. Click on the About/Help button of the Configure Window. This will explain
  23. what each option does, so you can determine if you want to use the
  24. option or not.

  26. Note of WARNING.  The Generic Echo option works with TABBY 2.1 and 2.1.1.
  27. The Generic Echo option BREAKS the rules, but in turn increases your
  28. system efficiency, buy reducing the work tabby has to do.  If this
  29. feature is turned off then Export 3.2 will behave just like any other
  30. export (in other words it follows the rules, set forth by Michael Connick).
  31. and will work with any version of Tabby past, present, or future.
  32. IF you turn it on and are running Tabby 2.1 or 2.1.1 then things will
  33. continue to work, with greater efficiency.

  35. When Tabby 3.0 is released, you may continue to use Export 3.2, but turn
  36. off the Generic Echo option until you get the go ahead from me in the
  37. RRHost or Tabby Echoes.  As long as Michael Connick does not make
  38. changes to the way the messages are processed, there should be no 
  39. problems, but to be safe, heed this warning and turn off generic
  40. echo option before you run Tabby 3.0, when it is release sometime
  41. after the first quarter of this year '90.
